I recently purchased an 86 VFR700 which had the wheel conversion I was dieing to do to my old VFR (retired/ sold to a friend after 120K on the clock).   Went to change the front tire yesterday and I noticed a pretty nasty ding on the left side of the rim.   The right side and center are true (within a couple of thousands) The left side however looks like it has some pothole damage.   The rim is true except for what I could best describe as a divot which has a max deformity of:  runout at the ding is .065" and wobble is .060".

I didn't notice any ill effects riding it.  But I also never got over 95mph.  What do you think?

If there's no cracking around the ding and the wheel seems solid I'd just run it. .060 isn't very much IMO. There are places that will straighten wheels. I could probably find some names for you over on the BMW forum, wheel dings are very common on those.
