I bought some on a whim at the grocery store last night. Kinda funky tasting new health craze.

Anybody else try this stuff?

My wife has been making her own for a few years now.  It is a odd process that involves fermenting tea with a bacteria/yeast culture called a Scoby.  It slowly grows all the time so she gives it away to others who want to "grow their own" ;D  She squeezes half a lemon or lime into each quart.  I like it myself too.

I've been drinking it off and on for a few years, mostly at the onset of colds, seems to be quite effective in boosting the immune system

Its not my favorite. My girlfriend is a nutritionist so I get to try all kinds of crazy things.

but its better to just drink some of it rather than argue about how some of it tastes like dirt and grass.

Or echinacea. boy do I hate that.

Never tried the commercial stuff but our homemade tastes great.  Kind of like a slightly carbonated, citrus flavored slightly alcoholic tea.
