Topic: Super Sport build...

Just posted an intro, and figured I would throw the pics up here.

Picked up an almost complete Titled CB400F Super Sport for $50.

Here are some pics, sorry if they are a little blurry my muscle relaxer had kicked in (my back was unhappy with me after I deadlifted this beast into my car).

First, the tank. The paint is cracking in some places, but the tank itself is in beautiful condition. Absolutely straight, no dents. Though, there might be ten pounds of bondo under that paint, ha.



Check out this seat, guess this was the PO's version of cafe back in 1985.

I am missing the front end, forks, triples, etc. I believe that my old CB360 swingarm will work (though I will not have passenger pegs). I will also need a sprocket cover, and many other parts.

Nice score for $50.  That cafe seat may work out good with the right tailight and padded seat.  Who knows, there may be some other treats hidden in that motor.

You know, man, I was thinking the same thing. The guy took the time to re-lace some Aluminum rims to stock hubs amd drilling the rotor, and I assume he took the time to rejet the carbs with the addition of the Yoshi pipe and pod filters. It wouldn't be surprising at all if he pulled that motor for some upgrades.

For some reason the PO removed the kickstarter.  Any reason that y'all can think of for that mod? Here is what it looks like now.

Broke inside, reducing weight, rearset is the way, the PO used the electric starter cause he was too cool to kick it over, had one leg anyway.....
