I was looking for some assistance about rebuilding my MC on my 400F.  I did not see this video posted, if I missed it and its a repost, my apologies.

Thanks a ton!  You are just in time for my own master cylinder rebuild.  I figured it would be pretty simple, but those little tips about polishing and what-not really help to make it all work right the first time!

This is a great video but I still have a question.  I noticed that the piston has a secondary cup on it but my rebuild kit does not have it installed on the piston.  I assume I have to install it on the piston correct?

The OEM kits you have to install the secondary cup on the piston. Nice video, but he should have mentioned the importance of making sure both holes in the master cup are open. You have the large hole usually easy to clean out and then you have that small hole (relief hole) which can be a bugger to clean out. I have been using a single strand of wire from a wire brush. Some guys like to use guitar string.
