Modern exhaust on cafe bikes?? Anyone try it?
« on: March 29, 2011, 04:43:23 PM »
Hey guys, just thought it would be interesting to see what people have done to their exhausts on their bikes utilizing newer technology by using newer sport bike mufflers... thinking i want to do this with my bike but dont really have the fabrication skills or tools to do it... post pics!  could be interesting and give many of us some ideas!

It's not a full cafe but I have a stock pipe off a R6 on my 82 Seca...

Guys those are some awesome ideas... How hard would it be to take the stock headers and make them a 4 into 1 and add a modern CBR muffler or something like that.

Those are awesome!  Exactly what i was thinking Beveldrive!

I've been thinking a lot about what a 749 muffler would look like...

FWIW, I'm not a shill for Race Tech - I've just got a thing for good suspension and the RTCE's are the most cost-effective mod for these old damping rod front ends.

My exhaust is not conventional but I built it with an older Yoshimura can that I shortened.
