I finally got around to splicing new coil wires onto my old ones, using NGK splicers. I got new wires, and had already gotten new plug caps a while back.
Ok, I know this might be placebo effect. The bike was running pretty well before. But my first ride, and more importantly, my second (because I wasn't as focused on the new fixes) seemed to have a little more pep. A little more solid power through the sweep of the throttle.
I only went on a short ride locally, so lots of starts and stops (city riding), but it felt pretty good. Maybe just residual pride in having not completely screwed it up?
