Crankshaft ID help...aftermarket or stock...
« on: March 29, 2011, 05:05:44 PM »
So I'm going through stuff.  I've got this crankshaft sitting around - it came out of an engine that had an MTC 900cc kit in it, forged rods, lightened rotor, etc...

I'm wondering if thecrankshaft is stock or not?  Is there a way to tell?

It's got these ID markings on it:

-On the outside of the lobe closest to the points side, it's got "10 F 6" stamped, with a lot of spacing between the stamped numbers/letters

-On the outside of the lobe closest to the rotor side, it's got '20110' printed on it - the numbers look to be printed, not stamped.

-On the bottom of the centermost lobe on the rotor side, it's got 'F1' stamped into it.

Pics are here - http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v103/camhello/Cam/

Unfortunately, I've got no clue where my micrometer is to take any measurements...

Nothing looks high performance to me. It looks heavy ie not lightened.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)
