It is actually one of the nicest 750 chops I've seen.  Not exactly my cup of tea
(prefer chopped/bobed twins). Lots of nice details.  The filagree on the covers and the paint is tight!

It is a proven fact that modifying a SOHC Honda in any way will bring on the apocalypse.

Wow, small world. I used to own a bunch of those engine pieces.

I wonder what he did with the rest of it. The entire engine was chromed and engraved, all the hardware was gold plated Allen head bolts.

Really looks more bobber to me and not the good old fashioned "Easy Rider" chopper with a springer front end etc that I use to see running around.

Chopper/Bobber debate on other forums is like pulling the pin on the "what oil" grenade here.    ;D ;D ;D

Slapguts - did you do the engraving yourself?  That's cool stuff!

Nope. Bought a "stock bike, needs pain and some wiring help" 76 CB750 on eBay, and that engine was in it. Wish I could find the rest of the pictures, it really was a work of art. Every single last inch of it was chromed, polished, or gold plated. The oil drain plug was gold with a flower engraved, and some kind of gem inlaid in the center.

The wiring on the bike was destroyed, the frame had been cut so the head could be pulled without removing the engine (which was seized solid), it needed everything. I ended up selling it for parts.

It's just a detail touch, but I really like how the clutch & gearchange covers have had their bolt holes countersunk/recessed so that the allen heads fit flush - it must have been quite painstaking to get them right too.
