Stolen bike recovered
« on: March 30, 2011, 11:17:16 PM »
Last night my storage container was broken into and the #$%*es stole my '75 CB400F "cafetracker?". On a whim I decided to roll past a notorious local tweekers house (gotta love small towns). It wasn't there but about a block past his house I ran into 2 oldsters (75+) that come by the shop all the time. These guys spend A LOT of time just riding around town checking stuff out and know practically everybody so i figured they'd be my best bet for finding my bike if it was still in town. Before I finished my sentence they interrupted me to tell me they saw it on a side street earlier this morning. I followed them for a few blocks and lo and behold, there's my bike parked at the curb. The woman who lives their said she heard it it pull up early that morning (even did a good impression of what my bike sounds like running out of gas) and said her husband was really into motorcycles and was pretty stoked, hoping it was abandoned. Turns out the retard turned the choke on and the gas off and got as far as what was in the carbs took him.  Douchebag took the key w/ him but other than that it's a happy ending. It's truly amazing how stupid some people are.

Funny thing about regret is...... its better to regret something you have done than to regret something you haven't done.

Man are YOU lucky!  Most of the time they'll get pissed if they didn't get their prize and kick it over and set it on fire too!  Just wondering, but where did you keep the key for them?  Don't make it any easier for the douche bags to steal stuff...take the key with you.  ;)

I've worked at the same job for 25 years so I could pay my bills, keep food on the table, shealter over my head, raise 2 kids, and to be able to have few things I enjoy, one of witch is my CB750K6. And it really ticks me off when some scum bag low life person thinks they have a right to have what I have and what every other hard working person have earned. They should be under the jail.
Its great you got your bike back :) :)

If you had nothing better to do, you could put it back where they stole it from, and wait quietly inside to see if you get any customers (victims)  :D ;D ;D

Nice catch, pleased you got it back mate.
I lock people up for a living and the strangest thing is that even though many have raped, murdered and abused children...the one's that really really piss me off are the burglars and thieves!
Something about not touching other peoples property must be imprinted on my soul! ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!
