Newbie from Norcal

HELLO newbie here to the SOHC Forum. I am a bike nut as this is my 5 th bike I have added to my stable. I have a 2006 Triumph Thruxton, 2001 HD sporty(wife's ride) 2000 HD Roadking Police, 1971 BMW R60/5 and now I have added a 1971 Honda CB500E. I am excited and want to learn as much as you guys will teach me. i love to wrench on my bikes, and I plan on turning this into a Cafe Bike. it seems to be in great shape starts right up and seems to run well, has a bad gas tank with some pin holes in it so i will  be looking to replace that soon, any suggestions as I plan to cafe the bike. again thanks letting me in your group!!!! Welcome to the forum!

You can try the "Bikes & Parts Wanted section for the tank... http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?board=45.0  Other than that, keep an eye out on CraigsList and Ebay.  Some of the 500 guys might be able to give you other suggestions on tanks.

When you get a chance, post up a couple of shots of your new CB.  We like pictures around here.  ;)
