Hi i have fitted a new DID 219t 88 link to my engine, its an endless chain so i split the cases.
Now i have put the cam back in and the chain over the cam gear but i cannot get the gear back on the cam without using a screwdriver to lever it up and on. The chain is then very tight. I have turned the engine over a few times , the tensioner is fully backed off but the chain is under tension.
I have checked the chain guide is in the front correctly so i am at a loss as to why the chain is so tight.
Any ideas.
