I appreciate all the advice here about the Goldwings.  I am going to look at an '80 GL1100.  I spoke to one guy that specializes in repairing them.  He has '79 for sale and said not to get the 1100.  He said they are too clunky and do not handle well.  I am thinking he may have said that because of what he is selling. 

Any advice regarding what to look for with the '80 model?
