Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Can you swear on a Honda Wing that you will keep this post current for as long as it's convenient for you and you feel like updating it?

Thank you for a schedule.

LOL! Those are some pretty easy terms!  But yes, that's my intention, to keep it up to date as coordinators feed me info.

Father Time, the PDF is difficult for me to read. Also, Godzilla will not sleep in Austin; he can only stop there for lunch before getting on his way. He will sleep somewhere west of Austin, yet to be determined, on 4-20. It might be helpful to note where Godzilla has already been?
Thanks for doing this!

Thanks Scottly, I'll be sure to update the Austin overnight soon, hopefully this weekend yet.  As for where Godzilla has been, the middle column has an X to show what is done.

Is it difficult to read because of the color choices?  I have a little experience with 508 compliant web sites where some colors are to be avoided due to color blindness.  I prolly made poor choices in that respect.

Ah, I now see the "X" for done. It's not the colors per se, it's pdf's just don't look good on a monitor; pure text is easier to read. Also, it's a bit of a pain to have to download just to check for updates. Maybe lock the thread, so it doesn't get all cluttered up, and only you can update it, and have Jerry make it a sticky so it doesn't get lost?

Good ideas.  Guna keep it here as is for a bit while I work on the format.

Anybody have a web server that can host a small HTML file?  It's easy to take the spreadsheet, convert it to HTML, but I need a site to host it.

Good Morning, OldSchool.

Godzilla will arrive in Leeds AL at Barbers on Friday, April 15.  He will overnight.
On Saturday, he is scheduled to go from Leeds to Monroe, LA and overnight.
Sunday he is set to go to Little Rock.
Monday, he will go through OK to TX and probably down to Dallas to overnight.

Thanks for all your work here.

I was just wondering if anyone is keeping track of the total miles traveled by IT. Since the route is taking a lot of twists and turns, it should add up pretty quick.

I like this idea too Paul, Maybe I can add another column and request the coordinators give me miles between the points of interest.  I can then total it.  I'll give 'er a try.

I was trying to keep track of the miles but gave up due to the complexity of mapping out every side road, route that is involved in everyone's ride. I have however been keeping track of miles between the cities where the ride starts in the morning and where it ends at night via Mapquest.

I haven't seen the log book but that was to be a part of it.

Riders, are we doing this hopefully?

MrBreeze,

I'm doing something similar.  I've added a column to the next rev of the Godzilla Slept Here spreadsheet that has has the miles between events.  I also added a column for a running total.  Paul (05x50) is offering up a little space on his web server for the spreadsheet.  Hopefully we'll have that up and running in the next day or so.

For the spreadsheet, my suggestion would be to grab a free gmail account and use Google Docs, you can then point directly to the spreadsheet as read-only and we can even subscribe to updates!  Much better than a web server! Cheers!

I notice the handoff at Fernley keeps changing.  It started at 5/1, then went to 4/30, now it says 4/29.

What's even scarier is that I can't even FIND a Baker, Nevada with Google Maps!  I'm going on the best info I have.  I'll update it if better info is available.
