The handoff to the Colorado crew was completed at 2PM on 5/2 in Spanish Fork, UT.  They then headed east, with Jerry accompanying Godzilla.

I'm not going to have any spare time to sight see with Big G. Doesn't appear that any of the other guys in Colorado will be able to do anything either, at least nothing that I've heard of. I'm working Th-Fr-Sa at my out of town gig then Big G and I'll do the Peak Sun am before heading for Kansas. Lot of miles to cover on 1 bike and not enough time. Got your call but I'll try to get caught up tomorrow.

Back at you Fred.  It would have been great if you guys could have rode east a little with me.  It is a great ride if you ever get the chance.

Old School, for your chart -

miles with Godzilla - 629

miles Fernley - Ely with the side trips - 303

Ely - Spanish Fork - 326

total miles covered - 1466

GeeZee slept in Greenwood Village, Colo. (suburb of Denver) the night of Thursday, 5/5.   This dude's a handful.

First, he had to show me where he's from:

I decided to teach him how to shoot pool, but GeeZee was totally territorial.  He kept yelling "EGG!!" and ran for the cue ball every time I tried to break:

Then, real quick like, he'd run to hide in the pocket.  I guess he thought he was guarding the egg before it hatched.  Oddly maternal:

He's a total sports hound.  Couldn't get enough of all the talk shows:

He kept me up most of the night while we raided the liquor cabinet:

I was dog tired, so I hit the sack.  I woke up at about 5am to a ruckus, and that nut was hitting it hard with an early morning workout!

He was still pretty hung over, so he demanded some caffeine:

Then, it was off to cruise Denver for the day and meet a few fellow SOHC4 riders.  More on that in the Riders' Log post.

Godzilla is taking a nap right now after finishing a 12 hour overnight shift showing CB650 how to properly operate a CNC machine. He should be waking from his slumber in a few hours to attack the state of KANSAS! Look out Team Central, here he comes!

Godzilla is spending the evening keep my hound dog at bay in beautiful downtown Galesburg Illinois. No Missouri riders stepped up to join us. We went further south to Warsaw Mo, went under the rain, came back north, bought a rain suit and followed the storms through our posted route. We didn't stay tonight in Mo. due to the window of good weather and some mechanical issues to address before either bike can go to Chitown. The F1 may be losing it's clutch and has no gas reserve and on the K4 the fuel line insert came out of the petcock spilling the entire contents on the road. Allegedly.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.
If you love it, set it free, if it stays it's probably one of my 750's.

I think we will be leaving Indy on the 16th. The plan (today) is for Don to get to the Chicago area on Saturday 5/14. I'm not sure if he plans to go on to Indy, I thought Chicago was his last stop.

Then I and a couple others will be heading to Indy on Sunday 5/15. We should get there early afternoon, spend the night, then on to Cincy. I don't know what time on Monday. The ride to Cincy isn't very long, so it really depends on who is riding from Indy to there and who is meeting us once we reach Cincy.
