wire harness
« on: April 02, 2011, 05:29:00 AM »
I recently bought a nice 1972 750 on Ebay. I have a question about the wiring harness.Do all the connectors from the controls and the harness end up in the headlight housing? When I received the bike the only wiring in the headlight was the headlight and turn signals, the rest was in a wad  around the coils. It didn't look factory.
                                          thanks John

All the control ,warning light , and speedo/tach back light connections are made inside the headlight shell .

Welcome to the forum. Yes, you will have 6 harnesses that enter the bucket. The main, speedo and tach, left handlebar, right handlebar and warning light panel. All color coded on the OEM harness make it easy to get them. Not sure what the after market harnesses are like. How about a pic of that 72. We like pics here...
