I recently did a top end rebuild including valve reseats and all new gaskets on my 82 650 Nighthawk. The O ring was leaking on the left side of the bike and now after I had it for a 25 mile run the other side was leaking like crazy. Frustrated is the least I can say as I put a lot of time in the head rebuild this winter.
Anyway after I cooled off for a few days I was out in the garage today and was able to get a socket on the two outer head bolts were the leak was. I likely got 1 full turn on them both.
I used Loctite on them and torqued them to spec (19 -22) lbs before. I am going to re torque them all again tomorrow and I just wanted some thoughts.
