earthquakes, I'm over them
« on: April 03, 2011, 06:05:15 PM »
to whom it may concern.
please stop shaking my city, it has gone on long enough.
the last one at 12.41 today just about made me crap my pants.
if you must carry on, at least have the decency and give us a             warning, blow a whistle or something.

It is the price for living in Paradise.
Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

Man, I hope they stop out there soon. I'd like to see NZ again. I was just thinking, did the pancake rocks get any damage? Some of them seem like it wouldn't take much to fall.

That sucks. I didn't even get a pic. I did get some pics of the church that was in the middle of town. I was sad when I saw the pics of what happened to it.

yep Mick, they could fix me pub first, we have lost quite a few. the quakes are still rolling thru but we don't count anything under magnitude 4.5 anymore, might be a pause in the conversation while you pick up your jug and glass in case it's a good one is about it. don't want to spill any.  ;D

the volcano ash came through saturday night, gave the morning a very strange look. closed the airport for a while so ended up giving a lift to a guy who needed to get north. It's lifted high enough now that the planes are flying under the ash.

well that was an interesting night, we had a 5.3 hit us at 10.30 last night, felt a lot bigger than that, crap all over the place again. since then we have had another 11 till now and the earth has been grumbling and groaning all night. maybe today we will get the big one that is predicted, hope not.
