Yep you must be thoroughly sick of the ground shaking mate, that last one you got was a 6 and only 8k down, that's damn BIG! :(
Might be time to move all you nice Chch folks to somewhere else, I don't think anyone lives in Hamilton anymore (no one of any consequence anyway). ;D
Hang in there, the continental plates must stop crashing into each other shortly. ???
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Count me in on that mate.
It's pouring with rain here in Darwin at the moment and the pre Xmas beers are getting poured down just as quickly.  ;D

We'll be rowing the boat around the backyard at this rate.
(Rowing under the influence)  ;D
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.

another interesting night in the garden city. lots of rumbling and a few good ones to make you #$%* the bed. having a coffee first, then go out to the garage to tidy up. looked thru the window and all the bikes are still upright, but a lot of things thrown from the shelves.

More bad news.  The Marmite factory was also destroyed in the quake.  There is talk of Marmageddon in New Zealand as supplies run out.

When you think about it, the earthquakes could be God's revenge for inventing such horrible stuff as Marmite!
Vegemite rules!!! ;D

We left Chch a few years ago, but we still have whanau there so we feel the worry too.

I found this link a couple months ago
http://www.christchurchquakemap.co.nz/

I read about a few businesses from the crumbled CBD have re-opened around Sydenham in shipping containers, good old Kiwi ingenuity.

Have a Speight's for me (nothing quite like it over here)

Oklahoma they say is very geologocally stable, though the largest earthquake was recorded within the last year. Not sure why I didn't feel it, the grogery storre I was walking to had all the employees running out the door. I witnessed al the aisle signs swinging, but don't know how I missed the feeling as I was walking there sober.

New madras is the closest concern here, 600 miles away, other than the tonights lightning show,

no big ones for a while now so that's a plus.
join me for a tour of what used to be the heart of our city. the empty spaces are buildings already demolished, usually the nice old brick ones, but modern construction methods haven't got away lightly either. already over 18 months have passed.

If any of the new ones look like the CTV building avoid them Larry, I thought only 3rd world countries skimped on the construction steel to save money! >:(

Mind you big thumbs up to the guys who designed and built the elevator/lift area, that was solid as!

showed my wife the video, she is a kiwi and grew up around Christ Church. she was very happy to see the Queens statue survived in Victoria square. her mum is in southbridge and dad in oxford did not get effected by the quakes as bad, but felt allot of the after shocks. hope it is over for you. only spent a year living there but recognized alot of the spots the tour went by.

well the city centre(the bits we are allowed in) look bloody barren. Not much left to use as a landmark.
We are out of the house at the moment so repairs can be made, 4 weeks they say but I'm not holding my breath. garage is a bloody shambles with furniture and crap in there, but left the bike close to the door so I can still take it for a ride.
bloody scientists are predicting another reasonable shake shortly so hope they are wrong. that's my wee rant over, thank you for listening.
