CB550 Frame Help
« on: April 03, 2011, 11:57:54 AM »
Hey guys,

I think I know the answer to this but I want to be 100% sure before I cut into my frame. Bike is a 75' CB550 and it is getting the cafe treatment. I am going to be keeping my side panels so those tabs will be staying. Also going to be running Raask rear sets.

So with that I am planning on cutting off the rear peg mounts, helmet holder, seat bracket stuff, and center stand mounts. Am I on the right track?

Every bike is going to be different and what you cut off is up to you.  It sounds like you know what you want to remove, so....do it! :)

don't cut off the centre stand mounts unless you are planning on welding another part in place. it is a structural part of your frame if i am correct. there was already a descusion about this in another thread the rest of the stuff you can chop off.

ps. i love my raasks
