So.. I destroyed the first part that apparently I need during my rebuild. I was removing my points and spark advancer in order to install my new fancy Dynatek S and I got a little wild and decided that based on the fact that I wouldn't be needing the points I must not need the springs arms on the advancer either. ( it made sense at the time.. sounds really Dumb now!)
Anyway, I damaged (ripped them in half) both springs while preforming this epic mechanical feat and now I need to replace them. Anyone know where I can find 2 spring an the tiny C clamps that hold the advancer arms on? Ebay doesn't have them and I can't find a diagram that shows the springs separate from the advancer. I really don't want to have to buy a whole new advancer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and expected to come attached to a small amount of ridicule for being slightly retarded on this one. Live and learn right?
It would probably help to know it's a 1976 cb750k.
