Voodooracer's stolen dragbike recovered
« on: April 03, 2011, 09:46:36 am »
Just wanted the forum to know that Voodooracer's CR500 dragbike was recovered this morning. He had it on the back of his truck and was heading to his house when he called to let me know the good news. While the perp is still out there some place, he does have information that could lead to his arrest.

Great news for Voodoo.

He will likely post more info on monday as his home computer is down right now.

Fantastic news Frank, I spoke with Billy a short while ago on Skype and although it was a shocking line, he managed to pass on the good news.

why would someone steal that bike, it's a one off, not easily reused without being noticed. ?

Glad it was recovered and hope it's still in good shape.

Sam,

See if you can get Google Voice on your side. I have a free phone number that will ring wherever you want it to go to, can video call, text (which I abhor) on my computer, and call from my computer. Good quality too. Overseas calling probably will cost however but check it out.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Jerry, that's the first time Skype has not worked, I think it was down to Billys computer as I had spoke to Big Jim in Atlanta about half hour before, it was perfect and don't cost anything.  8)

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Most tools, acccessories, trailer still AWOL. Bike more than 95% intact and put away for now.
I have coined a new term to replace Steely Dan's Pretzel Logic:
 "Crack Logic".
For example: Removing all the side panels w/IHRA competition # as well as all the small track safety inspection stickers and spray painting over logos (one side only) so that after all this hard work it is impossible to distinguish between it and every other custom built, one-off Honda CR500R motocross-bike-turned-dragbike on the planet!
 Hardly recognized it myself ;)
