Topic: Is it too much to ask that thread titles be in the form of a complete sentence?

I prefer the fewest amount of words necessary to relay the most important information.  Makes it much quicker and easier to scan the threads.

Do you mean to say that you do not want to read about a persons question where they go on and on and on and talk about this and that and their friend's dog and then finally say their pods are not working but actually give no more info than that? Notice how I made that ramble on?

I think topic subjects should be concise as possible and the words should be as pertinent to the question/subject as they can be, kinda like a newspaper headline.

Complete sentences don't matter as much as relevance and key information (for the tech forum anyway):

1) Bike Model
2) Part/System/Idea your talking about
3) Indication of the question/problem/dilemma

Yes not enough attention is given to choice of colors and contrasts for us old folks to read. Studies show its hard to beat black on white with red highlights.

Also I'd suggested more important than a complete sentence is to include the bike model in the subject so I don't have to open things I don't know or care about.  "CB750 caliper repair"  tells me a lot more than "How do I rebuild a brake caliper?"

Well, yeah, that's a relevant point too, except the more likely thread title would just be "Brake caliper?"   

I'm not trying to raise a stink or criticize anyone by asking my question, I'm genuinely interested in making the forum a more useful thing for everyone.

The hell with thread titles.  I'd like to see complete sentences and at least an attempt at proper English (no offense to our non-English speaking members).  It's tough to understand a question with whole words missing.  I'm ADD, and words get missed by me all the time.  But you all don't notice because I proof read all my posts so they make sense to y'all.

Amen to the whole sentence/grammar/punctuation thing!  I mean, I'm not trying to be a fanatic about it all, but jeez, some of those long run-on punctuation-less sentences really can be a challenge to understand.
