could really use some help!!

So i have a 78 750k, with a 75 750 motor and carbs. I am running mac 4-2 exhaust and pods, and i can not get the bike to run the way i want it to. it idles good, but when i open the throttle it bogs for a second of two then it takes off with plenty of power. It currently has stock slow jet, 130 main and needle in the middle. it also has next to no power once its in 4th of 5th gear, just bogs and slows down.
please help ive been messing with this for a few weeks now and cant seem to figure it out.

You'll get a lot of folks telling you to jettison the pods and go back to an airbox.  It will be infinitely easier to get running correctly.  I gave up on pods a long time ago... so have many others.  On the other hand, there are folks here that like their pods.  Good luck on that ;)

You'll need a 76 or prior air box (if you wish to go back to Kansas).  The 77/78 air box has different sized holes for the air horns... which you'd need if you were running PD's (77/78 carbs). 

How does your chain align?  You should be off by 3/8ths of an inch with a 75 motor in a 78 bike unless you're using a 76 or earlier swing arm.

now that you mention the chain problem, i dont think it aligns correctly. it makes a bit of noise sometimes, but i dont know of the swingarm was changed or not, the PO did the motor swap

The K7/K8 chain was 3/8ths of an inch outboard relative to K6 and prior.  Part of the reason I think is that there was a bigger chain on the K7/K8 bikes - 630 as opposed to 530.  Maybe the tire was wider as well?!  In any case, I believe there are ways around the issue.  I think cyclexchange sells an "offset" rear sprocket.  I think the better way to fix it is to install a K6 or prior swing arm and wheel.  There's also an offset front sprocket available at cyclexchange.  Some folks might tell you that 3/8ths of an inch is not that bad.  I'll wait for others to jump in on this issue. 

Back to what's really going on... The final output shaft of K6 and prior engines puts the front sprocket 3/8ths of an inch more inboard.  On the K7/K8, the output shaft pushed the front sprocket outward and also has a different sprocket carrier on the rear wheel that is wider... pushing the rear sprocket outward.  It may be possible to switch to a K6 or prior carrier but then I think you need different spacers between the sprocket carrier and swing arm as the K7/K8 swing arm is wider than K6 and prior.
