Tire recommendations for CB500
« on: April 10, 2011, 01:19:46 PM »
I need new tires for my 72 CB500 and I'm looking for some recommendations. I want tires that will last and have a classic tread style. I tried some cheaper Cheng Shin tires on my Cb350 but the tread didn't seem to hold up that long. wanting to spend around $200 for the pair. Also, anybody have much experience with white wall tires?

Dunlop K81 TT 100 - for classic tread with modern compound.

No idea about white walls - not my taste really.

That Dunlop K81 TT 100 is what I'm looking for. A brand name that I know at a good price. I've also had a friend recommend Metzeler tires but I can only seem to find them with sport tread. I was thinking that a white wall stripe would look nice with my black and white paint scheme but i travel on gravel roads to get home so it might be a pain to keep clean.
