bent frame ('82 cb650sc)
« on: April 12, 2006, 10:29:24 AM »
so i found out my frame is apparently bent in the rear behind the seat.  No major deal as it doesnt effect bike performance BUT the tail section/seat section doesnt fit flush because of it.  Its apparently bent up.  Looks like someone flipped the bike up on its tail or was rear ended.  Any way any suggestions on how to bend that section back down?  I thought about whacking it with a hammer but i dont think that is going to work

Got a picture? If your doing it yourself its going to need some heat. Not oo many frame straighting people out there anymore, liability issues. At the very least your going to have to dismantle the rear end as far forward as the shock mounts.

I have the same frame with a clean title.  I was going to list it on Ebay in a couple of weeks.  If you're interested, I'm sure we could work out a deal.

I dont think its bent too much as everything still works right its just that the cowl on the seat and the paneling doesnt fit together right anymore....i have some electrical tape solving the issue right now and it doesnt look that bad actually..
