Fabricating a new shock mount on a CB550
«

Speaking of all this weight loss... a customer came to me for some frame bracing on a CB550, and had got a little over-zealous and cut off the rear shock mounts altogether. I probably overdid it a little on the mounting brackets (being 3/16" plate), but I did manage to fabricate some new ones.
In the event that someone else comes across this problem, I used 5/8" X 3/16" tubing and a 10mm bolt.
