insane ebay high water marks
« on: May 20, 2011, 11:53:39 AM »
a few months back, two separate K1's took 10,500 and 14,999 on ebay. Did anyone save those listings, or, at the very least can someone back me up. I was trying to show a friend and the listing is gone. Now I feel like maybe I dreamed it?

should show up under completed listings when you check that box.  You'll have to sign in to get that option
Yep, I'm the kid that figured out how to put things back together...eventually.

checked, they're both mysteriously gone. It makes me wonder if they were fraudulent. Like, the owners ran their own auctions to get a buzz going. does anyone remember these?

Your weren't dreaming..............I saw the sales too...........Also saw more recent sales at $5k to $7k for K1 with new paint.  To get the high value...........not insane.........the bike must be correct and low mileage. If its restored, it should be 100% restored............I think good original pipes are worth more than new replacements.

Completed auctions don't stay up indefinitely.  I think maybe 90 days max.

If I remember correctly, they both went to Japan.

Those Japanese collectors go crazy over those K0's & K1's.

I remember and I also remember a sandcast with a seized motor and no exhaust selling for 10k. Friend of mine just sold a 76 museum quality, low mileage 750  for 8k...Larry
