TAS Motorsports.....yay or nay?
« on: February 17, 2011, 08:10:13 PM »
Was checking out their wares on Ebay and came across a cool lookin' oil pressure gauge that I would like to purchase. As usual when ordering on the net, I checked our good guys/bad guys section (gotta love that!!). Anyhow, I'm seein' 6 pgs. of good vs. 3 pgs. of bad. Has anyone bought one of these gauges? Are they good or are they crap? Should I expect a problem getting it to me in a timely fashion and will have to send Knuckles over to them for a little kick in the a$$ to get the ball rolling or have they got there game together and decided good customer service is the best way to conduct business? I get good service/communication on 98% of my dealings through the net/Ebay but have absolutely 0 tolerance for BS. Lemme know people...............

I've bought a lot of little things from them. Always been satisfied with product and service/shipping times.

As you have read all of this in that thread but this is what I seem to have gotten from it.  If you order through thier site or via phone, expect a horrible delivery time.  Order from them through eBay and you will be happy.  Thier eBay feedback praises them.

I ordered from them quite a few times long ago and had excellent service and speed of delivery.  I have not ordered from them in a long time.

Your choice I guess.

Ive got one, and a friend of mine ordered one as well. Gauge and the elbow and fittings to install it were excellent quality, easy bolt on. The shipping time was another matter. Id wait a week call, wait a week call, on and on. I'd do the ebay thing next time. Picture kinda sucks, but here it is.

Order only from ebay and if they jerk you around file a claim asap.

I've been looking at those gauges but haven't bought. I like the EBay purchase idea! They have to have possession of the product to sell rather than take your order then order one for you. If they value their EBay business they will take care of those customers.

Yep...thats the one.I have a cheesy one on my bike now. I just drilled & tapped the plug and put a brass elbow fitting on. I like the looks of this one better plus its a liquid filled gauge.

I ordered NGK Spark Plug caps from them on Sunday from their eBay store.  It said 2-3 day delivery.  We will see what happens.  Oh, I got a tracking number for USPS too.

Well, it is in Coppell as of 1:31am CST, maybe a couple towns/cities (?) from me.  So, If I see it today, it will have only taken 2 1/2 days.  It is really up to USPS now.

They arrived today.  Ordered Sunday evening and showed up today.  It said 2-3 day delivery and it was here in 2 1/2.

So, if you order from the eBay store, there is a good chance it will be on time.  Order via phone, email or the web store, you stand a chance of having issues.

I just recently ordered a rebuild kit for my rear master from them. I ordered it the night of the 13th, so it didn't ship until the 14th. It just came in yesterday the 18th. Good enough for me. Especially since there was a Sunday in between. Oh yeah, it came with fire balls (candy) too!  ;D

I've ordered 3 or 4 times thru ebay.  Each order came quick considering a boarder cross and customs delays.  Once, an order was missing a part and without much question, a replacement arrived quickly also.  Been good so -  yay!!
