Jetting for a '77 with 836, cam, porting, etc.
« on: May 16, 2013, 08:08:20 am »
I am planning on starting my rebuild sometime this weekend and I would like some insight on where a good starting point for carb jetting.

1977 stock PD carbs
836 wiseco 10.25:1 CR
MRieck stage 2 ported head, 33.5mm intakes.
DP295 cam
K&N pods - I know, pods suck, etc.
Open Exhaust

I drilled out the press in jets to #40's
I also put 125 mains in. I did purchase 130's $ 135's
Needle is one clip down.

Carbs are off, so its easy to make changes now. Am I close? anyone else running similar setups?

Thanks!
