Hagons for CB550k
« on: April 13, 2011, 08:47:34 AM »
I have been flirting with the idea of upgrading my stock shocks on my '76 CB550k, and have settled on Hagons (for price and reviews here).

I just got an email back from the folks over at Dave Quinn about a pair of Hagons, and they mentioned that (for reasons they can't understand) Hagons does not make exact lengths for the 550.  They have them in either slightly longer, or slightly shorter.

They were great in suggesting a spring setup for my riding needs (100lbs spring), but I am looking for some suggestions about whether to go longer or shorter.

I ride mostly solo(5'10" and 180lbs), but occassionally a guest (under 150lbs). I live in Brooklyn (pot holes everywhere!) but would like these to be for some longer trips as well.  More about stability and comfort than straight speed.

Thanks in advance.
