A time and place to meet would be awesome.  On this side of the border and down south.  Suggestions?

Since it looks as though we have people coming from Portland and Canada plus the 11th seems to work for everybody lets make it official. I'll send Roanoke an email right now to let them know we are coming.

1pm is the time

Vancouver, BC riders:
Seems Blain border crossing is the closest for most of us, but I'm not fussy.
2 1/2 hour ride down I/5 (I hate freeways!) with a diversion down Chuckanut?

Looks like we have 2 in Van, me in New West and 1 in Coquitlam.

We need a meeting time & place for Sat morning. 9:30?
Any other ideas?

How about here:
Campbell River Store
790 176th St
8th Ave
9:30am

I think a scenic run down is preferable to the I-5.

Maybe those who can confirm will chime in.

I've gotta ship a headlight out, so I might meet you in Blaine.
I would also prefer a scenic route too, like Chuckanut Drive and then down Whidbey Island to Clinton for a ferry ride to Seattle.

Anyone interested?

Someone needs to plan the route so if you want to take the lead, by all means go for it.  Those of us on this side should still meetup at the campbell valley store and maybe another spot in blaine at FJ's suggestion.  Will we have enough time to take the scenic route if we meet at 9:30?  Perhaps an earlier time is in order.

That store works fine for meeting up.
I have no idea of the travel time of the scenic route< I will leave that to Jim to come back on.
Lunch at 1:00pm.

Speaking of rides, do we want to make a trip around the island all together while we are there? If so, who knows the island well and wants to lead?

shouldnt be too hard if we keep the lake on one side or the other  :P the loop is ~14 miles in all. should take us 30-40 min.  like stated before, its a popular loop and cops are staged around it.  much of the E side is twisties and if we get behind a bluehair, there aint no place to pass.  :o  it'll be a 25mph parade. i havent done the whole loop in years, but could piece it together for us. i know the island fairly well.

OK boys, I read several pages of "how 'bout here, how 'bout there" but couldn't find a result. I get it the meeting is on the 11th. But where and at what time? It'd be helpful if there was a "Final decision" thread on all topics so people could see what's been decided on things without wading through pages of stuff.

If all else fails i do believe 1pm at the roanoke tavern is for sure, now it depends on the route you take to get there.
We (the 'eh' crew) will be coming down the chuckanut, is there a place to meet with the 'huh' crew before we ride whidbey?

(the 'eh' and 'huh' is a difference i noticed from all my Mt. Baker years.)

Just did some Google math.
Blaine to Bar via scenic route down Chuc and down to Clinton including ferry and possible 20 min wait at ferry...=4 hours ;D
Wonder what the border line will be like at 8:30ish?  PM me and we can finalize the meet time.

Thanks Derek

I was also going to suggest an earlier start time if we wanted to do the scenic route, cause no mater how spirited you think the pace will be, it always seems to take longer. I can get into Blaine and clean up my shipping needs fairly early. Should we consider an 8:00 or 8:30 meet in Blaine WA?

Could try to make it to Mercier Island for the group parade too.  ;D

I had a Van, girlfriends parents hated me.

Ok, so how about this.  eh meets huh where hwy 237 meets hwy 20.  On a map they intersect,  seems like a logical spot.  Say 11:00am?  If we allow two hours from there to get to the tavern that should be enough.  The ferry at Clinton sails on the half hour.

Does this work?
