I pulled up to a house about 7 or 8...
« on: April 15, 2011, 06:15:35 AM »
...and I saw these guys building choppers and bobbers out of old Hondas. I went to the guys shop because he said he had a bunch of rear master cylinders, but he was mistaken. They had some pretty cool builds going on, but I'm not so into the style. Here's the cl post that I found them from http://fayar.craigslist.org/mcy/2324048138.html They're real nice guys. I told them I'd call them first when I'm looking for parts. If anyone is into choppers and stuff, they do have all sorts of parts that are nice. Here's a pic I took of a slammed 81 cb750k.

Nice, but I think they need to adjust the rear brake pedal .

I think that the foot brake is quite literal on this bike. it's only about 3" off the ground. Flintstones brakes!

That thing is pure ugly IMO, especially the Sportster tank.  To each his own, I guess...

I agree. You should have seen the guy ride it. Looked like about 1 mile down the road you'd be over it. You can't tell from that pic but the handle bars are at least 3' across. Lean way forward with your arms spread out and tell me that's comfortable.

Well you all can nitpick about things you don't like, but you can't complain about their work. Just remember, some people like that look and think our bikes are all piles of ugly garbage.

Never said they didn't do good work, just said it's not for me. Some people wouldn't grow an awesome jew fro like mine. ;) I posted this up here because I know some people on the forum like choppers and bobbers and these guys have nice parts for pretty cheap. I think they'll ship too. They have a 78 750k that they're about to build a cafe out of, so they wanted to check out my bike (not that it's a cafe) and talk about sohc bikes. I'll try to stop by their shop when I'm near them. I had a good time talking to them. It's worth stopping by if you're local.

I get ya. I should have taken pics of the better bikes. I just took a pic of that one because my friend has an 81 750k that we're building stock. I don't know how, but they have one of their sohc bikes sounding deeper and meaner than a harley. I'll see if I can get video of it sometime.

Thanks...  Now that song is stuck in my head! >:(

You're welcome!

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked to my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air

This is my friends 81 750k. The seat in the pic isn't the stock one, but he has the stock one on it now. Other than cosmetics it just needs the carbs synced and the front brake rebuilt. (hopefully)
