She actually looked a lot like that, but older with long silver hair. As I said before, she's the only rude person I've met so far. I like it here a lot. Melbourne is a bit crowded compared to what I'm used to, but I'll get used to it.

Finally got a house! The back yard opens up into Travancore Park! Anyone near Travancore? We move in tomorrow. Once we get some furniture and a barbi I'll see if anyone wants to come check it out. In the mean time, if anyone has old furniture they don't want anymore...

I've been laughed at so much for calling it a grill that I'm starting to make the change. Apparently a grill is used in the oven, and a barbeque is used outside.

No shed, but I think I can make a good spot with a tarp and some poles. I also have plenty of room to put parts inside. Can't build the bike inside though. New carpet.

Fair enough mate, I'd never heard of Travancore until I read your post, anyway, it should be good for your wife travel-wise, and I'm sure you'll make a nice temporary workshop. Have you found some work yet, or what are you doing to fill your days? Cheers, Terry.

Yeah, travancore is ascot vale. I haven't found a job yet. I was waiting to see where we found a house before getting a job. Hopefully I can find something near by. I'll get more agressive with the job hunt Monday.

What sort of work are you looking for Adam? The company I work for, one of the major defence contractors, will only hire Australian citizens (defence department requirement) but we hire a lot of temps from temp agencies for special jobs, I've got 4 temps starting on Monday for a stocktaking job that will last for a month or so, they're coming from a company called Westaff, we use them a lot, (we've got one Westaff girl working for us who started a year ago, we're just about to hire her full time) they'd be a good start to register with. http://westaff.com.au/

I've seen heaps of cafe/cafe wanna bees in the cbd. There's one on Elisabeth St that hasn't moved since I've been here that says "Honda Clubman" on the tank. It even has clubmans on it. I don't know if that was a bike Honda made here, but we didn't get it in the states, that I know of. I'm hoping in the future I'll be able to buy some cheap twins and give them a little cafe look then sell them around campus for more than they're worth.

I haven't seen the tent guy. That drainage canal looks like a rad place to test bikes! Easy access from my back yard too. So, Terry, you think you'll make it out this weekend? I got a fridge, and Abby got paid! I think I may go up the street to the Dan Murphy's and see what's on special.

Anyone see the hot air balloons this morning?
