testing a dyna ignition

bought a project bike the other day an it has the dyan ignition 5ohm coils an 7mm wires, no wiring harness on the bike the previous own fried it after trying to wire the ignition,  is there a easy way to test the ignition with out wiring up the bike

If he fried the system putting on the ignition then I will bet you a indian nickel that its bad too

I'd give Dyna a call. They're quite good with customer service. They probably have documentation for such a test. My Dyna S came with instructions on how to test it for voltage, but it needs to be wired in.

ok thanks guys thats what I was thinking, just thought there might have been a easy way to test it, it will get put on the shelf an back to points
