Alright... I'll post it now, even though this will and i mean will be a slow project.... Funds are tight... just graduated and will be paying school debt for the rest of my life. But don't worry! I am going to do this project right.
But here is what I was given....
A nice little Honda cb650c
Nice right...
Well, not so much. The motor was completely seized thanks the the exhaust valve on #3 staying wide open and the guy leaving it in the rain for two years without turning it over occasionally....
So stripped out the motor completely.
Ripped the top end out... off to a friends to get honed and the valves re-lapped.
Now comes the fun part. I found a beautiful bike here on this forum that I just couldn't get over.... Half Fast Timmy's cb750 just caught my eye and I haven't been able to turn away.

So I did some chop chop. I know someone is out there screaming inside, but I couldn't resist. It just looks so beautiful!!!
Right now The frame sits on the jig, awaiting confirmation that everything is completely straight and true, and that my tank will fit. I have been double checking this frame for the past month now waiting for the tank... But today the tank has come, sorry no pic yet, and I am figuring things will start to move now.
My hardest issue with this whole thing is that this will be my first build... I do my research, but I figure I probably should start something up on a forum to get other people's thoughts, opinions, and ideas that will keep me going in the right direction...
Rough drawing of where I am to go with this project (that is if the wife doesn't shut me down!!).
My next endeavor is to find either a 650 rear spoke rim that is in good condition, or I may have to try the whole 750 hub wired to a Harley 16 inch drop center... I hear that works... Thoughts? Experiences?
In all honesty, I am trying to find a 750 parts bike because I want pretty much all of it... except for the frame!
