Any other plans for an outing between now and September Rob?

You don't want me around Rob, I seem to be going backwards.

There's a hill in Moncton were up is down, and down is up, are you sure backwards isn't forwards.  You seem to be getting a handle on what the issues aren't. ;)

Do not worry to much Brent, I for one have the confidence that you'll sort things out. Like everything in life, to come to 90% is 'easy' but that last 10%.......................................

Keep up the good work.

Am looking at several occasions. First have to get the bike prepped with lights, battery in seat, put some paint on it. Bike is running fairly well already, want to mount your kit on it to see what that does and Dyno it.
Problem here are the noise regulations. I really do not want to run it silenced.

Cheers, Rob

Well "VOXONDA Classic Endurance Team" has signed up for the 3 hour Endurance race-demo on septembre 10th at Aalsmeer in the Netherlands. So the test-rig will have to proof itself. Happy to say that my two heroes of the past will ride the bike. Myself as a back up rider.
Really looking forward to this.

The intention is that Team Howell , Yrjo and me ,  participate also on this event with my CB750F2 with an 860cc engine.

Hey Howell,

Please read the regulations carefully, seems they only allow up to 750 with only a small margin.
Do not want you to be dissapointed.

Hope I am wrong.

Well we're of and running in preparation for that 3h run. A lot of relative small things need to be done or taken care of. Found a guy who will upholster the seat for me, for a good price. Build the 'rig' with the intention to just test parts, but now it needs to run in front of a audience so have to make her neat and tidy. Found no sponsors, so budget is not there. Luckily most of the technical part is already taken care of and have build the engine for reliability so that should 'do the trick'. Hopefully.................. ::)
'cause of the nature of the track will have to shorten the end gearing. Running 17 : 48 now on a 520 chain, so need to find a 520 16 or even a 15 tooth sprocket. Anybody got a source, if not have to turn down 530 ones. Will try to save some more weight, specially on the rear wheel.

Honda XR500 used 520 sprockets, and the spline on my friend's '82 model looks to be the same as the 750, but I'm not 100% sure.

Rob I bought 520 fronts from JT Sprockets. Part #'s are JTF281.15 and JTF281.16. They are good quality plus full 530 width through the center where they ride on the countershaft.

Honda uses the 25 x 6 spline a lot.

Hey Rob, I forgot to mention this. Check the JT website. The sprockets I mentioned are slightly larger on one spline than the 500/550/750 countershaft. I wasn't aware of this until I went to their site when I was investigating. The 350/400 fours and the twins and all the rest of the Hondas using similar c-shaft sprockets use a 1mm?? larger spline in one axis.

It accounts for a touch more play on the shaft, but I didn't concern myself with this on mine. Just thought I should mention it.

look for AFAM 20500-15 and 20500-16,

20500-17 doesnt exists but that's the one size you've got :)

just to make sure, these are 6-spline hole  with 22 internal/25 external dia. used in different XL's & XR's  but worked well on my 500/4, would be surprised if they dont fit a 750...

That's what I was trying to mention. The JT 520's use the same spline 22x25mm. The 750 countershaft spline is 21x25mm.

I never knew that until a year ago, it's good to always keep learning my mother told me.  ;D

I can hear Sam laughing from here.  ;)

brent,

have a look at the afam catalog, around the "honda area" 20500 or so,
http://www.gasimports.com.au/downloads/afam/2Tech_front.pdf
i think there is no sprocket with 21 ID.... the shafts might be 21 but seems there's no sprocket out there that makes use of the full extra 0.5mm depth (per side)

Been awhile, but we're back.
Got a 16 teeth sprockets that will be turned down. Bike is in it's finishing stages of preparing, mounted the lights and charging system and it all works. now it is time to give it some color, and finetune the carbies.
