Been awhile with the test-rig after the misfortune at the 3 hour demo. But after solving the problem, a broken field coil, put the bike in store. But still needed to test the antipod filter from Tintop.
After starting the bike up again I noticed that the slide's in the carb's got sticking. So even after claiming that the tank could resist the ethanol in the petrol, IT DID NOT! So removed the petrol, cleaned the carb's and put it all together again.
Bought some clean ASPEN 4 stroke petrol and the bike runs very well again, although the carb's need balancing.

See if I can get her out for a spin, weather permitted.

Hope you can get out for a ride.

Could you give us some more detail about the oil line that runs from the engine to the cooler?  Did you drill and tap the case for an AN fitting?
Take care,
David

Hey Mike,

You really should make time for it. Life is just to short not to enjoy. I do not have time either, but I press myself to enjoy my own stuff too.

Cheers, Rob

Hey Docotr_D,

First of all I use -10 oillines, so no restrictions here. I used the oem coupling that I altered. Cut it of, turned it down to 14 m/m, and cut M14x1.0 thread on. Then made the coupling for the oilline connector and glued it on. Hope this makes sence.

Let me know if you want to know more.

Cheers, Rob

Been awhile, due to personal reasons, but trying to pick up where we left. Pushed myself into testing the replica on a (very) small circuit. But its better than not testing at all.

Bike ran well and strong, though too heavy for this type of Mickey Mouse circuits, and give hope for better things to come.

Mine idea too, but if I do not need them do not want to risk them.
And yes, both are very nice men. Wish I could meet them more frequently.

Been awhile but needed a "break" to give some issue's its place, but finally getting back to business as usual.
Last weekend my youngest Bryan made his first outing on the track and on the replica.
Began with horendous weather but turned out to be a lovely weekend with both my boys.
Bike ran well, just two little issues with throttle coming loose and a fracture in the clutch pressure plate. Bryan did a very good job, in coming together with both the bike and track. Did his own 'thing' and showed impressive progress during the day.

adjusting idle, with a very nervous Dad on the background.

Here we go!

Lights on..........

Learning his way around.

Thanks Sam,

Yes it is very rewarding when your kids enjoy your hobby too!
Cannot seem to remember who that slim guy is!  ;) Think he's growing some kind of beard to compensate for the loss of the rest. LOL

The replica has rode in another (demo) event last weekend now with the two men who will ride it for me at the 3 hour of Oss, end of May.

Bike ran very well, and both Tonnie and Jan were very pleased. Coming weekend the last event where we can test. Fingers crossed.

Yes Brian, rerouted the line. Think it is a bit neater this way and the 'load' on the coupling is less. Filter unit behaves very well!

Hello mec,

We have a issue with leakage of the oilseal. Clutch works very good.
