PD46A Carbs

The tube on the left is aftermarket from keyster,on the right the original honda tube.The holes are diffrent lined up,en little bit smaler than the originals.Would this be a point of worry,to install the keyster tubes?This is part of a carb rebuilding set from keyster.I don't trust it.Bike is CB550K 77 PD46A Carbs.Cleaned carbs ultrasonic now,after nonstop problems with these carbs.

I'd use the original part. The holes in the Keyster part are obviously smaller and not placed the same. And this isn't the needle jet, so you don't need to worry about internal wear throwing off the fuel calibration.

You say you've had non stop problems with these carbs? Did you remove the pressed in slow jets for cleaning?

yes,i removed them for the second time now,put it all in the ultrasonic cleaner.When you look through it i see perfect daylight.Idle was not a problem,bike won't go above 5000rpm.I'm gonna set the needles on clip down also,they were in the second clip from top of needle,gonna set it therd now from top.Make it richer,look to me the only solution that's left.

Once you get the throttle open more than 3/4, the needle isn't the factor controlling fuel flow. I'd be looking at the main jet as a possible culprit, though retarded ignition timing could also restrict your engine like that.

You have the stock air filter/induction and stock 4 into 4?

i got stock airfliter system with 4 in 1 exhaust (Marshall Deeptone),

I'd used the Honda original parts, as Stu said.

Stock setting for the E2349F needles is in the 3rd groove.

Just might need a larger main for the exhaust change, as well as a richer IMS setting.

Thank You guys,for the answers.I'm not going to use the keyster parts,put originals back in as clean as possible.
