holy crap. that tire mold-release is slick
« on: April 16, 2011, 09:55:00 PM »
Put a new rear tire on today.
Starter is acting up again so I pointed the 750 down the driveway and popped the clutch at the bottom.
The drag from the motor was enough with the mold-release to lock the rear wheel & it tried to trade places with the front.
OI!!
Watch out for that stuff!

I have read of people taking sandpaper after their new tires to scuff off the surface. Seems to work pretty good.

New tire treads are one of the best recipients of a pressure wash.

Shocking how many riders have crashed minutes after getting new doughnuts installed, but what surprises me even more is that you Americans haven’t found a way to sue the tire manufacturers. Come on you guys.
