Lowest profile 19" front tire
« on: April 20, 2011, 10:27:30 AM »
First off, this has nothing to do with the Honda I'm working on, but on a BMW R100. Since they essentially run the same stock size tires (18 rear, 19 front) I thought I'd ask here.

I'm looking for the lowest profile 19" front tire you guys can think of. A friend of mine made a custom hugging front fneder and I was running an Avon Venom 100/90 on the font. Well after about 50 miles I started hearing this scarping sound only to discover that tire had expanded and the machine head screw inside the fender had cut a nice groove into the tire:

I reworked the fender mounts to be as flush possible on the inside but I'm still getting some rubbing with an Avon Roadrunner 100/90 19 I had.

Anyone know of a lower profile 19" front tore I might look at?
This project started in confusion and will end in disarray.
