Branden:

Meant to answer that question in your PM.  Yes, I have cable ends and a solder-pot to resize your cable.  No, I don't know how much needs to come off a stocker to work, as I found a Kwaka cable at Bent Bike that works out of the box (and would tell you what it was if I actually kept track of it  :-[ ).

Fuel line is easy.  Two different diameters of tygon are needed: a smaller line from the petcock to the filter and a larger one from the filter to the carbs. I'll give you mine on Friday, as my needs will likely change with the RS34's.
Take care,
David

Awesome, thanks David. I ordered a bunch of jets and velocity stack screens. So with you donating your fuel line adapter I just need to get the throttle cable sorted. Hopefully someone will chime in about how much needs to be removed so I can put a cable end on while I am up there on Friday.

Branden, You just mount the carbs, run your throttle cable back, then measure what needs to be cut off to fit.  Its that easy...

Thanks Tige. I guess I will have to do that and make two trips to Seattle then to use Davids solder pot.

What about th spigots in the head?  Will my F carb boots fit?  If so - since I'm waiting on Mike to put the RS34's together - you can have mine.

I'll ride them down there to you around 10am if we can get an answer.
Take care,
David

I would imagine the spigots in the head are to big for your boots. I am so bummed!

Simple mistake, but sucks...  Why don't you just return the carbs to Dave and order ones that fit?

Are the threaded adapters that screw-in to the carbs different for F2/F3 applications?  Is that the issue?
Take care,
David

So, you have CR specials that have the adapters for K boots, but you have F boots/rubbers??

The head side of the rubbers is the same, F or K. You can just use the K rubbers with your CRs. If you don't want to do this, I have seen a post somewhere on here describing how they enlarged the CR adapters to fit the F boots. They simply lathed some PVC pipe down to slip on the carb adapters and make up the couple mm difference.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get the search function to work very well for me so I can't find the thread.

OK! Found it!

I don't have access to a lathe to make those adapters and even if I did I don't know how to use one. That is a great idea though. Thanks for the link. I didn't think I could use any other rubbers on my F head. I will have to look into that. Can anyone else confirm that early K rubbers will work?

I know this isn't necessarily a confirmation, but I have used F rubbers on just about every head except the F. :D

The difference in the rubbers is carb side to accommodate the PD carbs.
