need bronze swingarm bushings
« on: April 14, 2006, 09:33:05 AM »
i took my bike apart only to find out that i ordered the wrong set of bushings. i got them from parts n more. which is the only place i could find them. they also carry the correct ones for me, but are out of stock right now.

does anyone know where else i can get a set of bronze bushings for a 76 750K? i want to get this back together asap.

I got an engineering shop to make mine up - took the swing arm and collar into them, couple of days later I had a lightly machined collar and new bronze bushes to suit - a perfect fit! On my calculations this cost me about $30 of your dollars.
Not sure how that compares with new collar and bushes, but I was happy with it.
Cheers.

thanks 750duo, i think i found that site before, but didnt look any further after i saw the $3500 hub at the top!

those are exactly what i need though, and a good price. i'll call mon. and get a set on the way.

i did get the bike back together for now though. i threw another swingarm on that i had that will work until i get the new bushings.

cbj - i just had my front end off yesterday. new roller bearings and fork seals. the chopper is getting some today. i have all kinds of free time right now. i'm on vacation. i'll get a hold of you.
