Bill - if you can supply the fuel to drive the 6bbl 496 3.91 runner almost any distance - well you're doing alright. I have to wave 2 twenty dollar bills in front of it just for it to start.
The drop top 'cuda needs a total resto and I'm wanting to put a 528 hemi into it. The original 383 can sit in the corner with the Super Bee's original engine. But by the time it gets to the resto stage fuel will really be brutal. ![Cry :'(](http://forums.sohc4.net/Smileys/default/cry.gif)
One of the main reasons I got back into the bikes is that the car parts are gone through the stratosphere in price. I can build a bike for the cost of a few parts for the cars. And I'd sooner be working on something that sitting around on my hands while trying to save up money.
6pk, I hear you. I'd be lucky to be able to afford enough gas just to be able to warm
up that 6pk.(even though I'd like see it and hear it run) I've got enough of a problem
keeping gas in my 1500 Conversion van w/ the 360. I've to get the trans fixed in my wife
94' Grand Voyager and then I can get some relief in the pocket book. I've got a buddy who
seems to have a pretty good cash flow. He has a red 74' Cuda with a 360 and I don't even
know what all he has in it but, it sound tough and runs fantastic. His wife drives a new Dodge
Daytona Pickup and has a lime green 72' Cuda. His son has a green 69' road runner coupe.
This guy seems to be doing something with these cars and others all the time. I don't know
about his wife but he is the body shop foreman for the GMC dealership in Fort Smith,
Arkansas. He offered to help me get myself another 66' Charger or 69' road runner but, I
don't know how I could pay him back (much less be able to afford to build it right. That's
another reason I'm into the bikes so much, at least I've got a chance to do something with
them (so far). Later on, Bill
