Clutch is slipping very bad.

Your description of how much pressure was on the clutch lifter screw pretty much says it all. It was screwed in so far that it held the clutch partially disengaged. Expect to find friction plates worn to the bone. When you replace the plates, pay attention to which direction the spiral groove faces. The shop manual has a good line drawing to explain it. The one plate with the different sized tabs is the last one into the basket.
