Use of Multi-level steel (MLS) head gasket on CB 750 K1
« on: April 20, 2011, 06:47:20 AM »
Hello all--I am restoring a 1971 Honda CB 750 K1 motorcycle.  We are about to reassemble the motor, and one source recommended that we use a multi-level steel (“MLS”) head gasket, after the cylinder and head are decked and re-planed.  Apparently, MLS gaskets were not used on this model originally.  Do those in the know recommend this approach and if so, can anyone refer me to a source for the MLS gasket to fit this motorcycle?  Any other comments or suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks, Rob Gibbs.

These gaskets will be available very soon. The MLS stands for multi layer steel (you were pretty close ;))  Is this for a stock size bore?

Yes, stock size bore.  Available soon?  From what source, do you know?  Thanks for your reply, MRieck.  Rob

If You can't fix it with a hammer, You've got an electrical problem.
