Well, I decided to put the rings and one of the wrist pin clips on my new pistons in my 836 kit tonight. I got done with the rings and started on the wrist pin clips when I noticed a strange thing, the exhaust valve recess has a larger diameter than the intake recess. Now, admittedly, I've never dealt with Honda valves before but in my experience with cars the intake valve has the larger diameter. I just went outside to check the head and the intake valves are larger diameter than the exhaust. So, what am I missing here? I measure the recesses on the pistons and found the max width for the exhaust side are 37mm while the intake max width is only 35mm. All four pistons are labeled EXH with an arrow, so it's kinda hard to mistake them. I tried to take a pic but my camera can't focus well enough to read the faint markings.
Thanks for your insights.
