K1 oil tank

the bottom nipple on my k1 has brazing around it. Is this how it was originally held to the steel tank, or did someone make a lame repair?
 I think I may already know the answer.

I can't tell on my K1 because there's paint on the weld/braze . If there's no paint on yours that might be a good indication that it got twisted out and was repaired . I have a tank that I'm afraid I will twist the bung out of if I wrench much harder on it .

oh, it's painted.. or it was. but it's been leaking ever so slowly, so i got in there to see what was up. I reflowed the brazing.. seems to be tight again. I just wondered if it was a factory braze, or someone effecting a repair at some point. Hard to tell.
