Rings - Honda vs Metric Cycle vs David Silver Spares
« on: April 26, 2011, 02:20:27 PM »
anyone have experience with the Metric Cycle rings? They are listed on ebay and available here http://www.metric-cycle-parts.com/

I have read on this forum to avoid anything but Japanese sets as they are inferior, have burrs and chips on the rings from new etc....

Metric Cycle has been mentioned by some members as having bought but no real feedback on quality or origin. They are less than 1/2 the price of OEM Honda Canada

David Silver Spares lists  "High quality Japanese replacement ring set from the original equipment manufacturer... about ĥalf the price of OEM Honda Canada

Where does the smart money go

Hi, I'm planning on ordering some rings from z-1, they have the best price I've seen,  not sure of the quality.  I'd also like to order some stuff from David Silver but I'm wondering about the shipping time to Canada.  Do you know how long it takes to get stuff from them?

i contacted david silver spares about shipping, they would send orders less than 60 $pounds Royal Mail everything else UPS. UPS is brutal with the shipping & brokerage...I avoid them as any savings they eat up.

Cheapest Honda part was 38 from Honda Kingston, but still does not beat Metric Cycle. I'm game....what I save I can put into something else. If i bought most parts at Honda I should give up and just buy a VFR cuz thats what i would be into them for....

I ordered my parts from David Silver spares, total price was £ 80 plus £8  for shipping. I requested it be sent by Royal Mail and they did, recieved the package in less than 1 week, no customs charges.  Would happily deal with those guys again.
