Took 211 to Skyline drive and back - 100 miles total. Longest distance so far.

Yesterday I installed swing arm from 73, it went smoothly, except the right shock bottom bolt gave me some crap.

I deepened grooves in the bushing according to The Book, greased it before installation and pumped it full of grease afterward.

It seems to be tighter, the old arm had a noticeable side movement 5mm or so, but I need to ride it first to verify.

The baffle on my second hand Mac kicked the bucket.
I made a new one from piece of pipe - I think it was traffic sign post or something like that.
It works well enough, but it sounds like Nascar - 5 AM start to go to work is bit on the loud side.

Also the front brake locked up, turns out the bracket pin was frozen solid, replaced it with different C bracket and used antiseize this time.

Looking good mate, but what's happened to your air filter? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thank you.

The filter got squished somewhat when I was messing with carbs.  I will make and use spacers next time I have it off - just like somebody here (Rigid?) suggested.

Drilled, that SS disc creates some nasty shavings.

I put the wheel in and the right disc was dragging on the fork.  Left one had some clearance, not much, but the right one was  right smack on the fork.

I measured the triple tree and turns out my bottom is narrower than the top.  When I got her, the top was cracked, I replaced it with a piece from ebay, the bottom stayed original K0 (I believe) and those  two brackets just did not see eye to eye.

Not a biggy, back than I bought the whole tree so I replaced the bottom too and it lined right up.  Of course I spilled bearing balls in the grass and did not find them all, time to order all balls kit, for now, lets go with what I got.

Bloody L, she looks like Stuka, the dive bomber :(

I measured it at and at the bottom bracket of the tree, the difference is 2.5"

Here is the reason, the middle pair is the original K0 forks, outside are K3 that I got as a part of rolling frame.   The PO had on it 16" Harley rear, I guess this is hot he lowered the front.

Not sure what to do, I have forks for C bracket brakes in original length.  I even have one extra C bracket, frozen solid, but that should be fixable, right?

Than I have brackets and brakes and forks from K2/K3 to run nice and pretty dual break setup using T brake brackets.

And on top of that I have forks about 4 inches longer than the K0  >:(

Now what would Jimmy Buffet do?  ;)  I am afraid if I run the short fork in front, she will not behave very friendly and she will feel too small for me - I am 6'2" and 240 pounds.

Today I kept working on it.  Made spacers to center the front wheel for the dual disc setup.  Installed the wheel and left caliper including brake line Made In Slingshot.

The screw securing the tach drive has to be shortened.

Mocked up right side caliper on long M6 bolts to measure how bug spacers I need for it.

At ten o'clock, mosquitos and darkness made me quit.

I may have to go back to K0 forks/brakes.  Baking the frozen C caliper in the oven now to try to loosen it up - yes you guessed it, my wife is traveling  ;D

Double brakes with short forks but she feels good. I had her @ 60 today, repeatedly and she is stable and all.
The trail is still over 4" i may be measuring it wrong.
