New to me wheels and tires. They came off of the rolling CB750 I got on ebay. Much better than my original and finally 18 wheel in back.
Kept sprockets but they need to be replaced and the chain too.

Kicked started it for rhe first time, way cool!

Cleaned the front disc with scotch pad and xylol. New pads and no more squeel. Took it for a ride and later on replaced the chain with Tsubaki O ring and also new sprockets.
Finished at 11PM, test ride later, better in daylight.

The new chain makes amazing difference. Much better response, the old one acted as torque shock absorber to some extent. Had to adjust shocks, the chain would ground the left one. Also the front sprocket cover needed touch of a file, the sprocket was eating it.
Overall money well spent and the bike is safe now - except for the nut behind the handlebar, of course.

The throttle cable broke while I was getting ready to go to work. Changed vehicle for jeep.
On the weekend fixed the throttle by shortening the bowden and crimping on copper lump for the sleeve. Test ride in the back yard - I had some wine - and it works well. This is aftermarket but I plan to build my own.
Installed replacement valve in the #3 choke.
The center stand needs exhaust off to get the axle in. Messed with exhaust, broke#4 clamp and decided to live with kick stand only. The center stand now supports the 73 frame in the storage - good use.

Synchronized carburetors - finally!

Also new clutch cable. Now it is smooth and easy, what a difference.

This is the speedo boss I made for the dual disc conversion.

Chunk of aluminum, the piece how it comes from the lathe and the final boss.

The grooves should be milled but due to the limitations in my machine park I had to do it the old way - using a file and elbow grease. Surprisingly enough the best file to do this was the fine side of an old hoof rasp.

Definitelly!

The seat - you can have it for the postage as soon as I get a different one. But some PO removed the frame bracket and the seat pan is basically gone beyond repair.

Didn't record the struggle with rear tube, spent entire week patching and punching the poor tube using rubber cement and off road mounting irons.
Finally got to Warrenton and bought 3 tire spoons and a new tube - problem solved.

This is Aluminum foot peg, I am going to replace all four with these, gotta buy more O-Rings to finish this one.

I ride more than I wrench these days, the spring is in my beloved Virginia with all the subtlety of a freight train. Getting vineyard ready for the season and million of other things including 30 chickens.

The dual brake setup is ready to go in - but it has to wait. The fork I have to replace has inspection sticker on it and I need to pass riding test at DMV. Easier to wait with the brakes than argue dmv official.

Found NAPA filter 1390 - looks like it is gonna work on CB750 engine. Gotta make a nipple for it M20x1.5
